Reach For A Towel While You Are Outside: Outdoor Towel Racks
Most people I guess would think that towel racks are something that you would find inside your home, but that isn't necessarily true. Outdoor towel racks are available today to keep towels, coats, robes, shirts or other clothing items handy when you're busy outside.
You can use outdoor towel racks in many different situations. For example, outdoor towel racks can be used by those who live near the ocean to keep clothing or towels handy after swimming. Of course outdoor towel racks can be used at poolside as well, or while sunbathing on a deck, patio, or back porch.
In addition to these uses, outdoor towel racks can also be used by campers. You can keep an outdoor towel rack in storage in your RV or camper, and then take it outside after you have arrived at your destination. Even folks who go camping in tents can take an outdoor towel rack with them, perhaps packing it in a car or truck. Outdoor towel racks are great when camping, as you can keep towels handy near your camp kitchen or campfire while cooking, or near an outdoor shower.
A very good, basic outdoor towel rack comes to us from the folks at Homevisions. This outdoor towel rack, retailing for under $80, is made from solid Indonesian hardwood (Nyatoh). Nyatoh wood is an extremely dense, textured redwood that is perfect for use outside. This wooden outdoor towel rack features a triple bar design and is very portable. Another outdoor towel rack from Homevisions is a portable towel rack with a 13 inch base. The base of this outdoor towel rack is hollow -- when you use it, you will fill it with sand or water to give the entire towel rack great stability. This towel rack features three bars for drying towels, swimwear or other wet clothing. It stands 50 inches high and the three crossbars are 24 inches long and are adjustable. Retailing for under $50 this outdoor towel rack would look great next to your Jacuzzi, or for use at poolside. One problem with many outdoor towel racks is their limited capacity. If you have a lot of drying to do out-of-doors -- for example many towels and swimwear outfits after a family outing to the beach -- then you might want to consider using a regular outdoor drying line. These outdoor drying lines are typically made with an aluminum frame suspended from a steel center post. These outdoor drying lines are strung with many feet of cord, acting like a huge outdoor towel rack. They will generally rotate around the steel center post, allowing you to move the rack so that you can easily hang or take down clothing or towels that you need to dry. Usually these outdoor drying lines must be mounted in the ground, making them less useful while traveling or camping -- they are best used as an outdoor towel rack in your own backyard at home. A great benefit of using an outdoor towel rack -- especially if you have many items to dry -- is that you are using the heat in the sunshine from the out-of-doors, and this will save you energy as you will not have to put them in your own dryer at home. The downside of using outdoor towel racks is of course that it may take you much longer to dry your items this way, compared with just throwing them into the dryer.
